Lily has moved from simply selling herbs in her former shop (Boline Apothecary) to being a community herbalist and activist- one that cares for her community by giving her time, energy, skills, and gifts to the community whenever possible.

She created an Herbalists Without Borders chapter and offers sliding scale clinics (no one turned away for lack of funds), teaches free wellness classes to cancer survivors at Cancer Support Community, isorganizing a new non-profit organization (Sassafras: that exists to preserve the legacy of botanical medicine and holistic health as a concept for future generations), and produces a

Pacifica radio broadcast/podcast that is all about the wonderful people making the world a better place. She is co-creating and leading the charge for a democratic school for ages 5-18 in central Ohio.

All this while working as a worker owner for Haven Herbs and the Columbus hub coordinator for Market Wagon (supporting local family farms). This work cannot exist without patronage. We all know some of the most important work, work which values people and the planet, is underpaid or unpaid. In order for Lily to do this work for the community, she relies on patrons. Patrons give $1 a month or more (whatever is affordable) in support of her efforts. Read more about that
here.
